Abbey Reed, BA
After living and working in Mexico for the past 16 years as an international sports chaplain, Abbey comes to ABQ FaithWorks as the Housing and Homelessness Director. Her time in Mexico led to many experiences, including attending three Olympics and other world games. She also was part of an initiative to bring the first Spanish Braille Bible into the Republic of Mexico. She has had the privilege of working with people from around the globe who have become lifelong friends. Her time in Mexico created a passionate heart to serve her community and a desire to offer compassion to others. Originally from Wyoming, Abbey is happy to call New Mexico her new home. Abbey enjoys nature, being active with her dog, loom beading, and spending time with friends and family.

Dora Gallegos
Dora is the Bookkeeper at ABQ FaithWorks and is a bilingual addition to our staff. She was born and raised in Taos, New Mexico. Dora was employed by the State of New Mexico as a court clerk, administrative secretary, and financial specialist. She retired after working with the State for 25 years. Dora enjoys spending time with her fiance, family and friends, baking, and traveling.

Cynthia Ramirez, BA
Cynthia is a native Albuquerquean who is passionate about serving others and is a social worker at heart. She has worked for many nonprofits in the city including Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless, YWCA of the Middle Rio Grande, New Mexico Center for Dispute Resolution, PB & J Family Services and as a Child Life Specialist at UNMH. She is fluent in Spanish and is very proud of being a New Mexican. Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor concerts, visiting new breweries, the mountains and road trips/traveling.

Case Manager
Cody Nickles, AA
Cody comes to the ABQ FaithWorks team as a Housing Case Manager. He is a United States Navy Veteran, born in Texas but raised in New Mexico, which he says has the best sunsets of anywhere on earth. Having worked with TANF participants in two Income Support Division Offices in the region, Cody knows his community and is happy to serve alongside his team.

Sarah K. Camp, M.A.T.
Sarah joined the ABQFaithWorks team as an Asylum Program Pathways Navigator in August 2022. She was promoted to Director of the Asylum Program in April of 2023 and will also continue in her role as the Pathwasy Navigator. Sarah is grateful to be engaged in collaborative & proactive work here in her hometown. Over the past two decades, Sarah has worked and volunteered in school, university, & non-profit settings as a community-minded educator, convener of people, and creator of welcoming & culturally-sensitive spaces. Throughout, Sarah’s heartbeat has been empowering teams & individuals to navigate paths to wellness with dignity. Sarah is a lover of justice, beauty, & diversity the world over, and it brings her deep joy to live close to the Sandia mountains, blue New Mexican skies, Hatch green chile, her husband & two children, and other family, friends, & cultural treasures.
Volunteer Coordinator

Odalys Marquez, BA
Odalys was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated in May 2021 from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Minors in Biology and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. She has a lot of volunteer experience with Foundation Communities, St. David's Medical Center, Service Break Experience, Mary House Catholic Worker, and Posada Esperanza. She is very excited to be joining the team as the Volunteer Coordinator. She loves spending time with her three dogs, Dino, Osito, and Yuki, and loves sharing pictures of them.
