News and Events

January 2021. This past Christmas, over 20 migrant families in our community enjoyed gifts, toys, and food baskets. Our neighbors without reliable shelter were helped with essentials that we take for granted such as laundry, diapers for their children, socks, hats, jackets, feminine hygiene, and most importantly, help on the next step forward toward recovery, shelter, and self sufficiency. All this thanks to the generosity of our community that made donations and gave over $2,000 in December to support FaithWorks. God bless you everyone!

Dec 20, 2020: Jessica Corley and seven masked elves wrapped presents and put together baskets of food and treats for immigrant families, including many children. Thanks to Giving Tree donations, there will be joy this unique Christmas in asylum-seeking families in Albuquerque. This is in addition to our work with medical, legal, food and eviction prevention in both the housing-challenged and migrant populations.

December 2020. A librarian and member of Nahalat Shalom donated bilingual Spanish/English books enough for all our immigrant families for the holidays. The books are for children of all ages - from early readers to chapter books. They will keep children engaged and learning after the biscochitos are all gone!
